Certified opticians

Each full-time member of our dispensing staff is American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certified, and takes part in continuing education on the new developments in lenses, coatings, material and frames.  At Iowa City Optical we are experienced at handling difficult prescriptions as well as the more simplistic ones.  You can be assured that you will have the help of one of our knowledgeable staff opticians. As a result, you will have access to the latest eyewear technology available.

Experience

Our contact lens specialist, Cathi Miller, can assist you with your contact lens needs as well. With over 35 years of experience, she is a certified Fellow of the Contact Lens Society of America, as well as a National Contact Lens Examiner, and a cerified American Board Optician, she can assist you with rigid, soft, astigmatic lenses, or bifocal contacts, as well as the more difficult fits such as keratoconus, post-surgical fittings, and other corneal lens applications.
